Opinion:

The King Kong franchise and all of its million remakes is something I never really cared for.  Peter Jackson's King Kong is the first time Ive liked something related to King Kong. Easy achievements aside this is a fun run and gun adventure that loosely follows the movie's plot line. For the time (basically 360's launch) the graphics are good, especially when compared to those of PS2 and original Xbox, on which the game also came out.

King Kong does not try to innovate, or push any boundaries it simply shows us that 360's generation of consoles is capable of having just as good of visuals as the PC games, which is very welcomed, since up to this point PC gaming always outshone the consoles.

It is a fairly short game; which might be a good thing, it keeps things moving, constantly changing the environments and enemies (most of which are dinosaurs). This game is one of the very first ones that Ive played that had impressive vistas and busy backgrounds (in a good way). Where you would see things from the background move in to the foreground and become part of the action.

Overall I enjoyed every bit of Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie (what a ridiculous title); however by the end of it I dont know if Id really want it to go on for another couple hours.

I am no expert on King Kong, but I am willing to bet that this is the best video game adaptation (of all time) of anything related to King Kong. Therefore, if you are a huge fan, you really should play this game, if nothing else you will rack up some easy achievements while replaying the scenes from the movie.
