Opinion:

I never played with Transformers as a kid. They were around, but neither cartoons or toys ever interested me. Dont get me wrong, I think they are cool, just not on the toy level. Having seen only the first movie, and seeing War for Cybertron the game getting good reviews, I decided to give it a shot.

War for Cybertron uses Unreal Engine 3, and looks great, everything looks very metallic and sharp. The game is full of intense action and some crazy backdrops, and overall feels really polished, which is pretty unusual for a movie tie-in, especially from ActiVision.

It really does feel like they went above and beyond to make Transformers: War for Cybertron a great product. The game features 2 separate campaigns, one for Autobots and one for Decepticons.  They are fully competent and fun campaigns.

What is probably the most surprising factor about this iteration of the Transformers franchise is the fact that it has an amazingly fun multiplayer. Yes a movie tie-in game has incredible multiplayer. Unfortunately with the market being saturated with Call of Dutys and Battlefields, War for Cybertron's multiplayer got forgotten quickly.

I would definitely recommend this game equally to the Transformer fans and to those who don't care about them, it is a fun action packed game.
